On 15.11.2024 a session on “Empowering Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. This session was handled by Mrs. M. Yasmin, Assistant Professor, Francis Xavier Engineering College. Forty students from first year CSE C and one faculty of CSE department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Ms. M. Keerthana, Assistant Professor, Department of English, CSE from 9.30PM – 12.30PM.

The program started with the introduction of the guest speaker by Ms. M. Keerthana. During this session, the guest speaker delivered an inspirational speech on the theme of Empowering Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurship, emphasizing the importance of entrepreneurship in shaping the future. The speaker explained how entrepreneurship drives economic growth, fosters innovation, and creates opportunities to address societal challenges. The speaker highlighted that entrepreneurs not only create jobs but also bring fresh ideas to life, solving problems in unique and impactful ways.

The speaker focused on motivating students to step into the world of entrepreneurship. They stressed that young minds are full of creativity and potential, making them ideal candidates to become successful entrepreneurs. By taking initiative and embracing challenges, students can create meaningful businesses and contribute to society. The speaker shared personal stories and examples of successful entrepreneurs, urging students to think outside the box and believe in their abilities to turn ideas into reality.

One key message from the speaker was the importance of starting a business, or a startup, as a first step into entrepreneurship. They explained that startups allow individuals to test their ideas and solve real-world problems. The speaker concluded by outlining the support systems available to aspiring entrepreneurs. The speaker left the students with a powerful message: by taking the leap into entrepreneurship and starting their own ventures, they can shape a brighter future for themselves and their communities. Through this program, participants showed keen interest in the concepts, methodologies and gave satisfactory feedback at the end of the session.
