On 15.11.2024 a session on " Entrepreneurial Avenues through Product Innovation” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of CSE. This session was handled by Ms. Padma Sundari AP/CSE & ARVR applied lab in-charge, Francis Xavier Engineering College. Fifty Five students from first-year CSE and one faculty of CSE Department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Mrs.D.Elizabeth Paulsyah, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE from 10.00AM – 12.00PM.
The program started with the introduction of a guest speaker by Mrs.D.Elizabeth Paulsyah. During this session, the guest speaker explained the concept of Entrepreneurial Avenues through Product Innovations and the importance of the same for the growth and success of entrepreneurship. The guest speaker said that leveraging AI, IoT, and blockchain for developing smart and adaptive products. Innovations in wearable technology, autonomous vehicles, and smart home solutions.
The focus is on personalized products tailored to individual preferences using data analytics and user behaviour insights. It’s about the innovations in renewable energy (solar panels, wind turbines) and sustainable packaging. There’s a need of development of biodegradable, recyclable, and energy-efficient products. We can use innovative medical devices like portable diagnostic kits or wearable health monitors. The customized products focused on mental health, fitness, and diet, such as meditation apps and smart fitness gear. Smart farming solutions, such as IoT-enabled irrigation and drone-based crop monitoring. Development of alternative proteins, plant-based meats, and functional foods. Through this program, participants showed keen interest in the concepts, and opportunities and gave satisfactory feedback at the end of the session.
