On 09.11.2024, a seminar on “Entrepreneurial Edge: Leveraging Technology to Secure Future” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of MCA. The session was handled by Mr. Narayanan, Back End Engineer, InnBuilt Technologies, Chennai, from 11.00 AM to 12.30 AM. 40 students and 2 faculties participated. This event was conducted with the guidance of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director.
The program started with the welcome address by Mrs. D. Angeline Ranjithamani, HOD, Department of MCA, Francis Xavier Engineering College and introduced the speaker. Speaker explained how rapid technological evolution and entrepreneurship has become more dynamic and competitive than ever. Innovations in artificial intelligence (AI), automation, blockchain, data analytics, and the Internet of Things (IoT) are transforming industries, and those who can harness these tools effectively will gain a significant edge in the market were also dealt. He also added how technological advancements provide entrepreneurs with new tools to increase efficiency, reduce costs, enhance customer experiences, and even develop entirely new business models. He also explained how AI and machine learning (ML) are revolutionizing decision-making processes across all sectors. Entrepreneurs can leverage AI for Personalized customer experiences, Automation of routine tasks, Predictive analytics. Speaker suggested ideas about the Block Chain Technology. He suggested, Entrepreneurs can leverage blockchain in Secure and transparent transactions, Smart contracts and Tokenization and fundraising. Speaker explained the concepts and entrepreneurial opportunities in the area of Big Data and Advanced Analytics. He delivered different strategies for entrepreneurs to leverage technology. He advised that Entrepreneurs need to carefully evaluate and select the right tools and platforms that align with their business needs. Whether it's an AI-based tool for customer segmentation or a cloud-based CRM system, selecting the right technology stack is crucial to optimizing operations and enhancing productivity. The successful integration of technology often begins with a deep understanding of customer pain points. Entrepreneurs should prioritize technologies that improve the customer experience—whether through faster delivery times, personalized services, or more interactive products. Partnerships with technology startups or tech-driven organizations can provide access to the latest innovations and expertise. Entrepreneurs can benefit from co-developing new technologies or integrating cutting-edge solutions into their existing businesses. Entrepreneurs should adopt agile methodologies that allow for flexibility and continuous iteration in their product development and business operations. Failures in developing innovative ideas is a common thing. Students suggested to view failure as a learning opportunity rather than a setback. The ability to adjust to new conditions and challenges must be there for developing an innovative mind set. Innovative mind set combines diverse skills and viewpoints, leading to more innovative outcomes. The developers of innovative ideas must allocate time for exploration and research outside of regular tasks.
The interaction between the students and the guest speaker was highly motivating to all the participants. Session came to an end with the feedback of Students.
