Entrepreneurship in Online Trading: Sharing of Experience

On 14.11.2024 a session on “Entrepreneurship in online trading-Sharing of Experience” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of AI&DS. This session was handled by Ms.M. Jerlin, Student Entrepreneur, III AI&DS, Francis Xavier Engineering College. Fifty students from first year AI&DS-A and faculties of AI&DS department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Mrs.P.Sooriabrabha, Assistant Professor, Department of AI&DS from 9.00AM – 12.30PM.

The program started with the introduction of guest speaker Ms.M.Jerlin, Student Entrepreneur, III AI&DS,FXEC by Mrs.P.Sooriabrabha. During this session the guest speaker discussed about online trading as an entrepreneurial venture which is both dynamic and rewarding, requiring a deep understanding of market trends, financial instruments, and risk management. The speaker shared her experience about the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and disciplined decision-making. Starting with minimal investment, challenges faced like market volatility and emotional trading. Tools like trading platforms, analytical software, and economic calendars were instrumental in improving accuracy. Networking with fellow traders and joining online communities provided valuable insights and support. This journey highlighted the need for patience, diversification of investments, and the significance of staying updated with global financial news. Despite the risks, online trading offers immense opportunities for growth and financial independence when approached with dedication and a strategic mindset.

Students interacted with the guest speaker and gathered lot of useful information about online trading and the entrepreneurial opportunities in online trading.
