On behalf of the MCA Department, a Guest Lecture was organized on 27th March 2025 for the students, focusing on the topic "Filters in Linux." The lecture aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of various text-processing utilities, command-line tools, and their applications in Linux-based systems.
Mr. Clinton(2020 Batch), Software Engineer at Qantler Technologies, highlighted the critical role of filters in streamlining data processing and automation. She emphasized the significance of commands such as grep, sed, awk, cut, and sort in handling large datasets efficiently. The guest lecture proved to be an insightful and engaging session, bridging theoretical concepts with real-world applications.
Attendees gained valuable insights into the practical usage of Linux filters in system administration, data manipulation, and shell scripting. The session also explored how these tools contribute to optimizing workflows and enhancing productivity in software development and data analytics.
