On 21.10.2022 a guest talk on “Opportunities for Innovation and Creativity in Entrepreneurship Ecosystem” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Master of Business Administration.
The Session was handled by Dr.G.Aravind Swaminathan, Professor and Head Department Of Computer Science and Engineering Francis Xavier Engineering College from 1.30 PM – 4.00 PM. Mr.P.Selvakumar Asst.Prof/MBA, FXEC coordinated the program. 45 students and one staff member participated in the program.
The speaker gave a brief introduction about the importance of Innovation and Creativity in Entrepreneurship. He insisted the students to use their creativity for the development of innovative products which can be used for developing the startup. During his speech he highlighted the various sources of innovation and the process involved in innovation. The speaker gave lot of examples from the real life situation to explain how the organisations are making use of the innovations to sustain their business.
In his speech he highlighted the role of innovation ecosystem in the higher education institutions. The innovation ecosystem will help the students to involve themselves in the innovation. He shared his friend’s hotel business in Russia named like JaiHind which was really a creative thinking which influence the Indian customers in Russia. He also emphasized the way of thinking as an important aspect for the entrepreneurs and highlighted the Hotel Maduram for their weekend special dishes. The session was an informative and thought provoking one and benefitted all the students and staff.
