From 18.11.2024 to 20.11.2024 three Day Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme for Tamil Nadu Urban Livelihood Mission (TNULM) Beneficiaries was organized by the was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute, Chennai in association with Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Management Studies department and IIC, Francis Xavier Engineering College, through offline mode from 9.30 AM- 05.30 PM with 50 participants.
The three-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for TNULM (Tamil Nadu Urban Livelihood Mission) Beneficiaries began on 18th November 2024. The programme commenced with a Welcome Address by Mr. M. Siva Baarathi, District Coordinator, EDII-TN, Tirunelveli. Following this, Mr. J. Joseph Saleth Arockiasamy, Assistant Project Officer, TNULM, Tirunelveli, delivered an address on TNULM Schemes and Activities. He provided insights into the various schemes under TNULM that support urban livelihoods and micro-entrepreneurship development, encouraging participants to leverage these opportunities. A Special Address was delivered by Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, Director of Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, Francis Xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli. He elaborated on the Entrepreneurial Activities in the Tirunelveli Region and underscored the importance of creating a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in the district.
The technical session of the day was conducted by Ms. S. Sahaya Mary, EDP Trainer. She facilitated an interactive session on SWOT Analysis, enabling participants to analyze their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in a business context. Additionally, she covered Entrepreneurship Skills and Opportunities, providing participants with tools and techniques to identify and build on their entrepreneurial capabilities. The session also included engaging activities that allowed participants to apply the concepts practically.
The second day of the programme focused on marketing and business development. Mr. S. Veeramani, EDP Trainer, EDII-TN, was the trainer for the day. He conducted a comprehensive session on Marketing and Digital Marketing, Business Model canvas, where participants learned about effective marketing strategies, leveraging digital tools, and reaching broader audiences in today’s technology-driven world. Participants engaged in activities that allowed them to create their own business models, fostering practical understanding and confidence
Mrs. S. Thanga Eswari, EDP Trainer, EDII-TN, led the final sessions. She began with a session on Financial Management, covering crucial aspects of managing business finances, understanding Government Support and Schemes, and the application of GST in business operations. Mr. S. Elakkuvan, Project Director, TNSRLM/TNULM, Tirunelveli, delivered a Special Address on Women Development and its critical role in societal growth. He also elaborated on TNULM Schemes, encouraging participants to explore the opportunities provided by the mission.
Vote of Thanks was given by Mr. M. Siva Baarathi, District Coordinator, EDII-TN, Tirunelveli. He expressed gratitude to the trainers, participants, and organizing team for making the event a success.
