On 12.11.2024 a session on " Sharing of experiences by successful innovator” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of AI&DS. The session was handled by the resource person Ms.J.Jeffrin, Student Innovator III ECE Francis Xavier Engineering College. Fifty six students from first year AI&DS and faculties of AI&DS department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Mrs.P.Sooriabrabha, Assistant Professor, Department of AI&DS from 1.30PM – 4.30PM
The program started with the introduction of guest speaker a Student Product Innovator. The resource person discussed the powerful tools which can be used to for the product development to the students in their academic and professional journey. Innovators often recount the challenges they faced, the creative problem-solving strategies they employed, and the lessons they learned along the way. For AI students, these stories provide valuable insights into the real-world application of AI technologies, the importance of persistence in the face of failure, and the need for continuous learning and adaptation.
She emphasized the significance of collaboration, interdisciplinary thinking, and the ethical considerations that come with developing AI systems. By hearing about the trials and triumphs of those who have shaped the AI field, students can gain motivation, perspective, and a deeper understanding of the impact they can have in the future of AI development. This exchange of knowledge fosters a culture of innovation, resilience, and forward-thinking within the AI student community. Through this program, participants showed keen interest in the concepts, methodologies and gave satisfactory feedback at the end of the session.
