On 15.11.2024 a session on “The Role of Innovation in Modern Entrepreneurship” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC in association with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. This session was handled by Dr. R. Prem Ananth, IIC Convenor, Assistant Professor, Francis Xavier Engineering College. 40 students from first year CSE D and one faculty of CSE department participated in the program. The program was coordinated by Ms. M. Keerthana, Assistant Professor, Department of English, CSE from 2.00PM – 4.00PM.
The program started with the introduction of the guest speaker. The guest speaker delivered an insightful speech on the role of innovation in modern entrepreneurship, highlighting how innovation serves as the driving force behind successful businesses today. The speaker explained how entrepreneurs must constantly find new ways to solve problems, improve products, and meet customer needs. The speaker elaborated on the various types of innovation that are crucial in modern entrepreneurship. They discussed product innovation, which involves creating new or improved products to satisfy evolving consumer demands. Process innovation was also emphasized, focusing on finding better ways to produce goods or deliver services. Additionally, the speaker touched on business model innovation, which involves rethinking how companies operate, generate revenue, or engage with customers. They highlighted that each type of innovation plays a unique role in helping businesses stay competitive.
The prime importance of innovation in entrepreneurship was another key point. In conclusion, the speaker encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to embrace creativity and adopt an innovative mindset in their ventures. The speech ended with a powerful reminder that in modern entrepreneurship, innovation is not just an advantage, it is a necessity for creating impactful businesses and shaping a better future. Through this program, participants showed keen interest in the concepts, methodologies and gave satisfactory feedback at the end of the session.
